Nonny de la Peña is one of the most influential pioneers in developing virtual reality as a modern means of expression.  Founder of Emblematic Group, a leader in creating immersive virtual, mixed and augmented reality, she works with partners such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The World Economic Forum, PBS Frontline, Cartier, Standard Chartered Bank and Google.  A Yale Poynter Media Fellow and former correspondent for Newsweek, she is widely credited with helping create the genre of immersive journalism and launched the first VR film in 2012 at the Sundance Film Festival.
